Fun Cinderella Games
To Get the Party Moving
Play one or two fun age-appropriate Cinderella games. Modify common games to give them a Cinderella twist. Below are some of our favorite Cinderella games.
If you choose to acknowledge the winner of the game (not always necessary at a party), find a princess crown. The princess crown rotates to each new game winner.
Pin the Wheels on the Coach Preparation: Draw a large picture of Cinderella’s coach without the wheels. Next, draw the wheels. Write each child’s name on the wheel. Attach the coach to the wall or sliding glass door. Use a pink scarf as a blind fold.
Rules: Give each child a turn. Cover their eyes with the blind fold. Spin them around (optional). Give them the wheel and have them try to attach the wheel to the appropriate spot on the coach.
The person with the wheel closest to the right spot wins. Give them the princess crown to wear. With a coach, there are a couple of spots that could have winners.
Pin the Glass Slipper on Cinderella
Preparation: Blow up your favorite picture of the Grand Duke trying the glass slipper on Cinderella. Make several copies of the glass slipper. Write each child’s name on the glass slipper. Use a pink scarf as a blind fold.
Rules: Give each child a turn. Cover their eyes with the blind fold. Spin them around (optional). Give them the glass slipper and have them try to attach it to Cinderella’s foot.
The glass slipper closest to Cinderella's foot wins. Give the child the princess crown to wear.
Cinderella Memory
Preparation: Copy ten Cinderella scenes or characters from your favorite Cinderella book. Shrink the pictures so they are 3 X 3. Make two copies of each picture and laminate for sturdiness.
Rules: Take turns matching the Cinderella pictures. Turn over two cards. If the cards match, the child keeps the pictures. If there is no match, turn the cards back over. The next child takes a turn. Continue until all the pictures are matched.
Cinderella Musical Chairs
Preparation: Set up chairs in a circle with the seats facing out and the back facing the center of the circle. Make the inside of the circle big enough so that the whole group can fit inside. Gather Cinderella music as well as other princess music.
Rules: Instruct the guests to move around the circle as the music plays. When the music stops, guests sit in the closest chair. After each round, one chair is removed.
If the child does not sit in a chair, they go to the middle of the circle. The children inside the circle dance when the music plays and freeze when the music stops.
The other children continue to circle the chairs when the music is on and sit in a chair when the music stops.
Repeat these instructions until only one chair is left. The princess sitting on the chair gets to wear the princess crown as all the guests dance to a final song.
